WAAX Deliver Another Solid Track Titled “Read Receipts”

WAAX return with yet another taste from their forthcoming album “At Least I’m Free” due out 5th of August called “Read Receipts” and flows from their last releases “Dangerous” and “Help Me Hell” which both saw a lot of love from fans. Coming off an 11 date tour that saw the band travel around Aus. “Read Receipts” is truly remarkable and the vocals are simply raw as they cry out the lyrics “don’t leave me on read, don’t leave me here, don’t say we’re friends”. The track runs for a solid three and a half minutes and has you hooked the entire time, making you want to scream the lyrics out as loud as you can.

Vocalist Maz De Vita always has a way with words when it comes to writing some hard hitting, strong lyrics that are relatable and leave you sitting there feeling strong emotions and this new track is a pure example of that song writing. The raw and compelling vocals with great lyrics and a catchy melody scream out to my soul and make me sit here feeling too much.

The drums hold the track together with the striking cymbals through the chorus to give it more power and force while the guitars play through a riff that is forever stuck in my head.

WAAX have always been such a talented band with their ability of creating strong messages in their music and making them powerful and catchy which easily wrap themselves around you and take hold. The first time I heard WAAX, I couldn’t get them out of my head and spent the following week with all their tracks on repeat which is why I truly believe they are one of the best bands in Aus at the moment. “Read Receipts” has quickly become a favourite of mine and I’m sure it will be yours too.

Make sure to check out their music video that accompanied the new track, you’re certain to love it!
