Rumours Drop Heavy Track "Blood Eagle"
Melbourne band Rumours are killing the local music scene with their heavy new track “Blood Eagle”. It’s completely raw and honest while adding a complete heavy spin to the sound while it explores addiction and the memories that are left after recovery. It’s a very personal track for one of the band’s members as they look back on a darker time in their life. Rumours have toured around Australia, played many shows, and even been lucky enough to perform at Unify Forever along with some reputable Aus hardcore bands. They received a lot of attention from Triple J and fans all over after releasing tracks like “Paralysed” and “Incredulous” and spent a good chunk of 2020 building an incredible fanbase.
Heavy grunts from the guitars are in full force from the very start of this chaotic track as they are melded with the heavy and fast drum beats that you can feel through your earphones with how forceful they are. Electric hardcore is how I would sum up “Blood Eagle”, it’s very strong and features a lot of heavy elements including gut wrenching screams, hard chugs of the guitars and super fast/solid drums - take that and mix it with electronic sounds that echo in the background and sliver in between the instruments. To top off this hardcore banger, it has one hell of a build up that leads to a gruelling breakdown which will have you headbanging and wanting to mosh.
Just going off this track alone, Rumours have a great sense of music ability and know how to get hard and heavy. With “Blood Eagle” proving this from start to finish, it’s an Incredible new track that is sure to have a warm welcome from hardcore fans all over Aus.
