Our Last Enemy Reveal Heavy Cover Of The Smashing Pumpkins - “The End Is The Beginning Is The End”
Sydney industrial metal band Our Last Enemy have released what is bound to be known as one of the sickest covers ever of “The End Is The Beginning Is The End” by The Smashing Pumpkins. A pure heavy and loud track that shakes up your bones with just how much force it has going throughout the whole track. The band was originally formed all the way back in 2006 which makes a lot of sense as you can hear those strong nu-metal and industrial rock influences such as bands like Korn, NIN, etc in their sound throughout the years of their releases and this cover is another example of that as they take those nostalgic metal sounds and puts that great spin on this classic track by alt-rock icons The Smashing Pumpkins.
All I can say is that the take on this track is insanely sick and the band have done such an incredible job taking it and putting their sound on it which works so well. It’s jam packed completely with haunting vocals, heavy guitar strums, sick drums, and a great use of synth which makes for a wet dream for any fans of the industrial metal genre.
The four-piece have also released a music video to go with it that is full of cyberpunk and 90’s metal visuals that work well together with their rendition of the song to bring full attention to the nostalgic sound that the band offer and express.
Driven with a dark force and metal riffs that lay down the foundation for the gutturals which underlie the cleaner vocals - Our Last Enemy do a phenomenal job with this cover by adding a whole new darker spin on it that really showcases their sound and talent as a band. I recommend you give this one a listen!
