MARK WILLIAMS LETS US KNOW WHAT FANS CAN EXPECT FROM 50TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT

Gearing up to celebrate a legendary 50 year career, Dragon frontman Mark Williams has recently announced a special anniversary event for Sydney fans in November. Check out what the artist says we can expect from this very special show below.

"You’ll hear my singles, spanning across my 50-year career, with a few favourite covers thrown in, just because I love them. It’s always been about the energy for me, and that hasn’t changed. 

Audiences will get a taste of everything: old-school soul, disco, funk, reggae, and rock. I’ll be performing my hit singles from both NZ and Australia; throwing in a hint of perfume from NZ’s Queens of Rock (Jenny Morris, Margaret Urlich and Sharon O'Neil); acknowledging my 20 year presence in Dragon; and covering some extra songs I love, for example Hot Chocolate, of which I performed on the Boney M tour.

I’m thrilled to have my daughter, Taylor B-W, as the opening act and also my guest on stage with me during the show. She’s a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally, and it’s a joy to share this with her. With me is a band of amazing musicians, some of whom you have yet to discover. Just remember where you saw them first.

It’s going to be a blast for the audience - and for me! I’m so excited to celebrate with everyone."
