IAMMERAKI Releases Emotive Track "Untitled"
If you haven’t heard of IAMMERAKI, it’s the solo project of local Sydney musician Lachlan Campbell that showcases just what the artist can do and grants a signature sound that any listener will resonate with. “Untitled” is the brand new track from IAMMERAKI which is an emotive track that holds a lot of sentiment to the artist and feels really vulnerable. Following up from previous singles “Contrast”, “Divide”, and Keepsakes”, which gained attention and saw the artist become more confident and proficient in the sound that they create. "This song doesn’t have a name, I couldn’t pick anything that resonated with what the song means to me. The whole song is an argument that took place in my head while I was driving, a lot of the lyrics were written when I pulled over to breathe, I was in a really dark place when it was coming to life. It explores all the issues I was facing; Sexuality & Gender Identity. I wrote this song before I knew who I was. I look back at it now and it makes me extremely thankful I started this project. Exploring my own thoughts has become the healthiest outlet I could have." -Lachlan Campbell describes
“Untitled” is looking into an honest side of Campbell which is emulated through mesmerizing guitars, and backed by a rock solid rhythm, creating a strong, impactful song. The start of the track starts off with a guitar riff and soft vocals that are raw and unguarded before crashing into full punchy instrumentals that sound like it came from a Violent Soho album. Then there comes the powerful bridge which is just a complete contrast of screams, then suddenly falling into stripped back vocals, creating a good mix that makes the track hit a lot harder.
