Darwin's DRAFTDAY Drop New Track "Callback"
Pop-punk Extraordinaire's that hail Darwin DRAFTDAY have just released a brand new tune titled “Callback”. Shifting away from their rock roots and moving towards a more unique signature sound, the band are known for their ease of effort when it comes to switching genres. “‘Callback’ has this duality to it. In one sense, it’s an apology to the people that you push away when you’re struggling, and in another sense, it’s about trying to find an answer after losing someone close to you. The change of sound felt like a necessity to step a little deeper into something unknown." says Vocalist Arran Barker.
Soft riffs and pop punk vocals come into play on top of a solid beat which plays for around a minute before the instruments kick in and fulfil everything and make for a great classic sounding pop punk song with the verses offering the twist. Filled with a catchy hook and a great melody, this new sound looks good on DRAFTDAY.
The band have recently announced that they will be performing to celebrate their home state Darwin for Territory Day at Mindil Beach on July 1st and they will be the support for Australian Rock Collective, featuring members of legendary Australian bands Spiderbait, Jet, Powderfinger, and more.
The future looks bright for DRAFTDAY, listen to “Callback” now and show the band some love.
