Blake Cateris Releases Second Solo Single "It'll Never Happen To Me"
“It’ll Never Happen To Me” is the pristine new track from skilled musician Blake Cateris.
Blake is well known for killing it on the bass and fronting his punk rock band Molly & The Krells and has recently started doing some solo stuff on the side by releasing a rendition of Careless Memories by Duran Duran back in February which saw his talent on guitar and also saw his sharp and fierce vocals take hold. Now at the end of June he has gifted us with the next track in his solo project and it is nothing other than fantastic while the lyrics describe all the shit that has been going down in the past few years. Blake Cateris has always been a very talented musician, you can see it with all the hard work he puts into M&TK and now his solo stuff expresses that talent in his song writing and vocals.
Usually heard over the top of punchy sounds from guitars, bass, and drums, his solo project takes a different turn with its acoustic guitar chords, stripped back vocals, and well-written lyrics. As the acoustic guitar carries his voice across the verses and as we hit the powerful chorus, soft drums and bass come in underneath but not fully taking hold over the vocals. Running just over 2 minutes “It’ll Never Happen To Me” is another track that showcases Blake’s abilities as a songwriter and we can’t wait for his next release.
