Adelaide Duo Jessie's Overalls Release Sophmore Track "Growing Up"

Jessie’s Overalls is a relatively new music duo from Adelaide, SA who bring a bit of fun to the table in their music and now they have released their sophomore single “Growing Up” which takes a new approach. Following up from their debut single “Durry Lane”, the new track delivers a slightly different sound and theme but both have their similarities in the rock instruments. Being only formed for around 6 months, this dynamic duo have already received the love from Adelaide music fans and even accumulated some fans of their own in this short amount of time and that just proves that they have a lot to show and give to the music community.

Starting off with the gorgeous vocals from Immy Alma as she sings over the strums of clean guitar chords with easily noticeable lyrics that are certain to be screamed out at live shows by the audience and from that, I know this track is going to be a real treat. The pace suddenly picks up with punchy, fast guitar chords while underneath the smooth groove of the bass plays and creates a stronger sound for the track while the drums keep to that fast pace until the other instruments fade and vocals from Lachlan Searles come in singing his catchy as hell verse. The lyrics “But today I'll wake up in someone else’s bed, while I write these songs to fix my fucked up head, and I’m not quite sure if this story has an end, but the night isn’t over yet” ring out and are of course a highlight of the track as they give the song a bit more punch and as stated before will be some of the lyrics that people will want to scream out at live shows. “Growing Up” is a fun, danceable track that holds a great sound and even greater lyrics - it’s an honour to be able to review this track, as I can tell that this duo are going to go far with releases as great as this. I can’t recommend enough that you go and check this song out, follow them on socials, and show them some love!

You can catch Jessie's Overalls at their all-ages single launch on August 13th at West Lakes Bowls Club.
